The Dorminy Plantation,
located in Ben Hill County near Fitzgerald,
Georgia, produces cotton, corn, peanuts,
tobacco, hay and pecan crops. They also
raise and promote world quality reining and
working cow horses. John and Katarina
Dorminy began their horse program in 1995.
They quickly surpassed their
original intent of simply enjoying reining
and working cow horse events, and have
already established Dorminy Plantation as a
Top 5 Reining Horse Breeder. Proof of
their successful program is the
unprecedented show records from Dorminy
Plantation performers. Their nucleus
of superior reining mares which are
bred to the industry's leading sires will no
doubt ensure their continuing success.
Dorminy Plantation is part
owner of the dynamic little horse,
Commanders Nic (Boomernic X
Miss Bam Bam Command). They also stand a
black son
of Shining Spark, Shinin Joe,
who has been shown successfully in reining
and working cow horse events.
In addition, Dorminy Plantation also specializes
in breeding blue roan foundation bred
Quarter Horses and show cattle. They
stand Casino
Super Star, a blue roan stallion, as
well as several registers bulls. |
